DIVISION 3 Play Off Final

In the division 3 playoff Final, we have African Selects facing Fantastic Eleven, after both teams eliminated respectively TS and MR in the semi's. This was expected to be an interesting match; AS is known for their defense, while FE were expected to play attacking. Further, it was also the confrontation of one of the most experienced managers in div 3 (Colin), against the manager who had the best team in the playoffs (Clive, who came 3rd in the league just after SH and SG). It turned out that AS's defense was strong enough to withstand FE's attack. Due to a red card for CF Catch, AS even outemped FE enough to gain a smother shot. However, after that was missed, the match ended 0-0. Nothing had been decided yet, and so the winner of the playoffs (and thus the team to win promotion to div 2) had to be decided by penalties. It took no less than 14 penalties before FE eventually beat AS, and with that won the playoffs. Too bad for Colin and AS, because they even had a better GK (although the difference wasn't very big of course), and even more important, they were the better team (although that difference wasn't that big either), and had the chance to win the match during the regular 90 minutes. So, we won't have a Canadian invasion in div 2, after SH already won promotion earlier, after winning the div 3 championship. Let's hope that Colin has better luck next season. For FE and Clive it's a different story of course. No matter what happened in this particular match, I guess we can say that with FE winning the playoffs, we have the strongest 3 teams from the last season winning promotion. Congratz Clive!
