PRESS REPORT

Adirondak Renegades

. Adirondak Press (AP): Four in a row. Pretty awesome. And surprising.

Manager Fulmer (MF): I'll take it, the guys (and Katie) have been playing really well.

AP: Yes, your daughter scored 6 goals. I'll bet she is excited.

MF: I can't tell you how excited she is.

AP: Nathan is taking time off from SAEFL. Thoughts?

MF: I'm sorry to see Nathan go. He is definitely a top SAEFL manager, and was a great help to me when I started out. He is definitely leaving with class, finally breaking the bank and acquiring some top youth for his successor. He is leaving a very strong side, one that will be a lot of fun for someone to manage.

AP: As a journalist, I am interested in th articles he will write the rest of the season.

MF: They should be very good, Nathan has had many good ideas on the league and managing teams.

AP: Any thoughts on the future of AR? Unlike AA, who has been on of and maybe the top SAEFL team, AR has been a dormat. I believe this will be the first year they were in the first Division and stayed there. I think it is only their second season in  Div 1.

MF: I'm happy with that accomplishment, but am not really sure where we go from here. I can't remember what I talked about last week, but there will be some very strong sides next season, such as FI, IQ and now definitely AA, probably others. An AR title run is out of the question. AR are not particularly old overall, so rebuilding is not necessary, but might be fun. Right now the trade market is dead and we have very little cash, so there is not much we can do about next season right now.

Alcohol Anonymous

The first instalment of “A Life in SAEFL” has been delayed as Mr Fossey has been preparing for two work interviews!  Sorry all.  If this delays matters for too long, I'll just send them to Peter during the opening weeks of the new season.

In the meantime, it’s been a busy week for the club’s management.  After snapping up CF Luke Rodgers for over £1m last week (and boy he looks a nice player!), AA this week splashed out over £2m on the pair of Paul Warne (CF, 19, 7) and Nathan Smith (FB, 20, 8).

Not cheap, but AA have many other fine prospects to complement these three youngsters:

GK      B. Alnwick            9.50            22

DS       K. Riley     8.25            20

CB       C. Davenport            9.25            25

AS       S. Greene 8.50            23

AS       H. Newton            8.50            23

DM      B. Robson            8.50            20

S          C. Jerome 8.50            23

S          J. Mikel   9.25            23

S          D. Nugent 9.25            23

CF       G. Lineker 7.00            21

CF       T. Itanic    7.50            21

This doesn’t include four or five other players who have not yet come close to reaching their peak in the game.

Hopefully, this kind of information will encourage high quality managers to apply for the AA job once Nathan leaves office in a few weeks time.

Well, it hurts, but it was expected.  There isn't much to say about a game like that.  Of course, I keep saying this is a meaningless season so it doesn't really matter.  I feel like I'm just going through the motions waiting for next year.  It's frustrating since it was a very promising team.  So we go back to the fray and see what happens.

But I really hate wasting a grudge....

We think bidding for a transferlistplayer is useless. No luck there, and the commish is only looking at the big clubs of SAEFL. We wish a manager like Nathan Fossey could be in our league, in our club. Come Nathan, please, come to us coming season, help us, we would be deeply greatfull to Y, The Bigg Fossey Stadium will it be called, our new stadium!!!!
